The week started with
a holiday. Monday was
Martin Luther King day.
All the public school kids had
the day off. Matthew spent the day
with them at a fiddle jam
at the tapestry folk dance center.
He loves to jam with other kids.
He had an opportunity to play and
learn new tunes from his peers.
I love when he jams too. He gets
a new fire and practices for hours.
The kids and I took
advantage of the cold
day and visited
Minnehaha falls.
The frozen falls were so cool.
It was breathtaking.
For his birthday he said
he wanted to get "really dressed up"
He picked out the shirt and tie.
He also wanted to spend the
day at the mall of America.
With most of his time spent at
Legoland.

He had a great day and
said he can't wait for another
birthday.
Two books we read this
week I wanted to
recommend. One was
Shingebiss
and the other was The Bat-Poet.
Both were perfect for this
time of the year.
Everyone liked them very much.
We finished the week with
Matthew in a hockey tournament.
Sunday was the biggest day
EVER. For Christmas Grandpa
and Katie bought the kids a
day skiing. They had never tried it before,
now they never want to stop!
To say they all loved it would be
an under statement.
Matt and Lindsay better look out!
They are already counting their money
for Colorado.
Many many thanks to
Grandpa and Katie
It was awesome!
Until next week
