February 2017

Everything moves along
until it doesn't!

In February...
all things ceased to move along.
Wesley had an infection on his
face.  I brought him to our local
clinic.  Our Dr. prescribed an
oral and a topical antibiotic.
At once when I gave him a
dose of the oral cefdiner he threw
up.  I thought maybe he was just
getting a seasonal virus.  Then,
I gave him another dose and all
his symptoms started to get worse.

He complained of extreme stomach pain,
he started low grade fever, and
continued to vomit.  He couldn't keep
anything down.  So much so I brought him
back to the clinic.  At this point he was
unable to walk or stand.  I wheeled
him into our clinic and during our
appointment he continued to vomit.
Experienced extreme stomach pain.
The Dr. said he was very dehydrated
and if he continued on for another
day I should bring him to the ER
for an IV.
His headaches were so unbearable
he had trouble with his vision.
His stomach ached and he continued to
vomit and have a low grade temp.

We brought him to the ER after 4 days
of his symptoms becoming worse.
They admitted him to Children's
hospital with a diagnoses
of an appendicitis.  It wasn't.

This is so difficult for me
to write.  Although I need to
put it all down.

Childrens Hospital February 2017
They conducted so many tests.
At this point even more
worse symptoms began to emerge.
 Now his temperatures were 103.
Morphine was given for pain and
he reacted with hives and swelling.
His entire body was engulfed with
pain and swelling even his genitalia.
Which led them to a new diagnoses of mumps.

With the diagnoses of the mumps
we had to wait to test and get results
until the Government offices opened
on Monday morning.  So, we waited
and his symptoms changed and got worse
again.  He started to have unbearable
bowel movements.  Even more
symptoms continued.  Childrens decided to
treat him with an intravenous
antibiotic.  He started to show
some improvement with this.
They continued to test him for
every parasite, virus, bacteria
and cancer known to man.
All of which came back negative.

After, a week at Childrens and with
some of his inflammation coming down
they sent us home with another oral
antibiotic.  This one was called Levaquin.

The next morning after we were home
we gave him the Levaquin and quickly
he lost the use of his legs.  A possible
side affect of the Levaquin is ruptured
Achilles tendon.

Then, all of his other symptoms
came rushing back.  Vomiting
103 temperatures on and on.

I brought to the Mayo clinic.
They should have all the answers right?

They admitted him immediately because
of his symptoms and his inflammation markers
were so high.
Again they tested him for everything known to
man.  We were there about a week with no
improvement.  Although, they took him off of
all antibiotics.  He showed signs of improvement
and they let us go home.

Everything came flooding back upon
our home coming.  I was beyond
desperate.  Running to the co-op
I was looking for anything that
could heal him.

An acquaintance of mine happened to
be in the parking lot she came over
to me and asked about Wesley.

I cried and told her how we had
no answers.  She asked me to
take him to her chiropractor.
They wanted to re admit him to
the Mayo the next day.
I scheduled the Mayo for one day
out to give the chiropractor a chance
to heal him.   We drove to Dr. Lee.
Wesley couldn't get to the car or make
it to the appointment with out
having to go to the bathroom.
Dr. Lee the chiropractor
thought his system was over loaded
with toxins and he was having a reaction.

After many supplements...
He was symptom free the next day!!!!

The Lord is good!

Thank God for Pauline,
Dr Lee, Sandi Hayner,
my mom and dad and
 Grandpa watch!
all our loving friends and
family.  Everyone helped
us out so much.
Everyone one of you have been
in my prayers everyday since.

Thank God for healing
my baby Wesley!

Many Blessings

January 2017

January was a whirlwind of all sorts
of Hockey.  We always celebrate winter
very well.  We also managed to get in a little
skiing!

We celebrate two birthdays in January.
First Wesley turned 10
We went to our favorite burger joint.

Then Taggert turned 5
We had a little party at the house
that included a pinata and our best neighbors.
This year our town hosted hockey day MN

We were able to celebrate by extra
ice time and with family.
I have a deep appreciation for
the sport.  It has
carried us through so many things.
